Outdoor equipment retailer Outdoor Gear has announced it will get more than double the exposure to social media during the week of April 14th compared to the same week last year.
The company, which makes outdoor gear and clothing, says it will reach an average of 1.6 million social shares on its Instagram account, a 50% increase over the previous week.
That’s the first day of the first month of the new year and is the first full week that the brand will get any exposure.
It says it is working on adding more brands to the mix as well as partnerships with brands like Fitbit and Reebok.
In addition, the company says it has received a total of 2.5 million likes and shares on Instagram.
On Thursday, Outdoor Gear also said it would get 100 million social likes on Instagram and that it plans to increase its exposure to brands like Nike, Zara and J. Crew in the coming weeks.
While Outdoor Gear does not expect to break even on the initial sales it sees, it expects to see growth from the following months.
“We believe that the year-round Instagram and social media platform will be a catalyst for further growth for Outdoor Gear,” the company said in a statement. For more:
